FADE by Tanya Saracho
Directed by Jacqueline Moreno

Runs October 23rd - November 2nd

Fade follows the friendship between Lucia and Abel, two Latinos working at a ruthless Hollywood studio. When Lucia, a Mexican-born novelist, gets her first TV writing job, she feels a bit out of place on the white male-dominated set. Lucia quickly becomes friends with the only other Latino around, a janitor named Abel. As Abel shares his stories with Lucia, similar plots begin to find their way into the TV scripts that Lucia writes. Fade is a play about class and race within the Latine community, as well as at large, and how status does not change who you are at your core.

Cast

Abel — Annisa Reinoso

Audition for Head Over Heels on October 26th

The Station Theatre seeks a diverse and talented group of 14-18 people for the cast of this musical comedy featuring songs of The Go-Go's.

HEAD OVER HEELS is the bold new musical comedy from the visionaries that rocked Broadway with Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Avenue Q and Spring Awakening. This laugh-out-loud love story is set to the music of the iconic 1980’s all-female rock band the Go-Go’s, including the hit songs, “We Got the Beat,” “Our Lips Are Sealed,” “Vacation,” Belinda Carlisle’s “Heaven is a Place on Earth,” and “Mad About You.”

Learn more about how to audition here.

We’re accepting suggested play submissions for Season 54!

Anyone is welcome to submit scripts suggestions for future productions at the Station! This form will remain open for ongoing submissions for 2026-2027 and beyond.

Now in our 6th decade, The Station Theatre strives to reflect the diversity of our community through our programming. We encourage a variety of script submissions, with the goal that the Station will appeal to the wide spectrum of talent and audiences in the Urbana-Champaign area and beyond. Directors will be asked to hold open and equitable auditions for each production.
