Dance Nation Poster, by Christiana M. Harkulich
A finalist for the 2019 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Dance Nation is a brave, raw play about growing up, following your dreams, and finding your soul in the heat of it all. The story about a troupe of 13-year-old dancers is played by a multigenerational cast of adult actors, an ever-present reminder of the teenager that we all once were.
Content warning: Dance Nation may not be suitable for audiences under age 18. The play contains: strong language, adolescent characters in sexual self-exploration and discussion, brief mention of suicidal ideation, a depiction of self-harm, brief gore/blood special effects, brief partial nudity.
